    The Sr. Director Business Transformation is responsible for the management of ALG’s business process enhancement, governance and management of ALG’s off-shore BPO vendor and operational reporting.


    This role is responsible for developing a clear understanding and support for organizational change management with senior leadership and throughout the organization. The Sr. Director partners with internal and external resources to establish an organizational change model/methodology and execute change management strategies and plans in support of business transformation initiatives. This position ensures that each initiative is well designed and implemented. The role provides expert advice and coaching to initiative leads and initiative teams to ensure best-practice execution. Facilitates the development of timelines, dashboards and financial scorecards for each initiative to keep executive leaders current on progress and potential red flags.


    Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

    1. Develops a perspective of initiative business cases to ensures the right initiatives are prioritized, executed upon, and the benefits are fully realized throughout the enterprise
    2. Champions project management disciplines and provides the processes, structures, and tools for individual project management and program management across the transformation
    3. Provides a governance structure to ensure accountability and predictability of the outcomes of each transformation initiative.
    4. The key result areas are: business service strategy/planning, project strategy/planning, communication and change management, and continuous improvement performance management.
    5. The Sr. Director role provides strategic leadership through facilitating or advising strategy development while demonstrating foresight, conceptual capability and market awareness.
    6. Supports large-scale enterprise-wide projects that incorporate a proactive and innovative solution to addressing business challenges and achieving organizational goals and objectives. Integrates how the big picture of the initiatives comes together from definition through implementation on implications across the business.
    7. Supports development of clear case for change, desired outcomes, accurate scope, clear roles and decision-making
    8. Supports initiative teams with skills in process excellence, project management, facilitation, problem solving, accelerating transformation and value creation to drive toward required outcomes. Surfaces capacity, pacing, resourcing issues and any other red flag issues needing leadership attention. Ensure effective stakeholder engagement and communications. Ensures timelines are adhered to for initiatives by keeping executives aware of any red flags concerning the timing or integration process
    9. Ensure organizational alignment in the design and execution of initiative efforts
    10. Performs other related duties as required  



    • Bachelor degree. (Business Administration, Information Systems, Engineering)



    • Proven experience of delivering bottom-line impact from positive changes in ways of working, either through transformation projects or through day-to-day frontline operational experience.
    • Experience in lean approaches and implementation, with at least 3 lean projects completed.
    • Experience in managing projects, and leading and managing internal and external teams to accomplish difficult goals.
    • Experience in change management driving initiatives through  
    • A good understanding of organizational dynamics and some understanding of business processes, policies and tools and methodologies relevant to operational change.
    • Ability to coach, motivate and mobilize others.
    • Ability to independently structure, analyze and synthesize findings. Able to defend own perspective and support it with facts.
    • Experience of data analysis.
    • Good report writing and editing skills.
    • Understanding of the travel sector (helpful)
    • Six Sigma certification (helpful)
    • Sound computer aptitude, particularly with Workflow, spreadsheet, and presentation packages.
    • Workflow software tools. PMNSoft an asset
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Point
