    As a Digital Marketing Performance Analyst, you will help us to understand and improve the marketing performance of ALG’s established and new B2C vacation e-commerce brands. You’ll automate recurring reports and complete ad hoc deep-dive analyses on the behalf of our digital marketing team. You’ll notice anomalies in performance and help us address them and learn from them. You’ll have exposure to our marketing activities across all channels and multiple brands and help us to spend marketing dollars efficiently.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain and enhance ongoing performance reporting for all marketing channels, including SEM, SEO, Direct, Email, Social, Affiliate, etc.
    • Conduct ad hoc root cause analyses to identify underlying causes driving business performance variances
    • Design and conduct analyses to understand the performance of marketing campaigns and tests
    • Design and automate new reporting and anomaly detection processes
    • Work with multiple stakeholders to ensure that all data is tagged properly and flowing across digital marketing and database systems
    • Manage digital marketing accruals and forecasting, invoice tracking and approvals process

    EXPERIENCE

    • Significant experience understanding, managing and analyzing complex data flowing from disparate systems
    • Demonstrated experience developing and enhancing complex performance reporting
    • Experience with ad hoc performance analytics and deep dive analyses within a digital marketing context, preferably in travel/hospitality, e-commerce or retail environment
    • Experience with Google Analytics, AdWords, Facebook Ads Manager, Responsys and other digital marketing platforms strongly preferred
    • Experience with marketing automation and business intelligence/data visualization tools strongly preferred
    • Proven ability and initiative to identify and learn new tools and methodologies

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in analytical field required, Master’s degree appreciated
    • 2-5 years marketing analytics experience at high-performance e-commerce or retail environment or within a digital marketing agency
    • Strong grasp of mathematical concepts and statistical methodologies
    • Comfort with relational databases including data extraction and manipulation
    • Expert knowledge of Excel, VBA, SQL
    • Hands-on experience with advanced analytics in R or Python preferred
    • Ability to translate analytics results into business insights
    • Ability to generate creative solutions and think outside the box
    • Solid interpersonal and communication skills (externally and internally at all levels)
    • Fast learner, with enthusiasm and ability for acquiring new technical and analytical skills and tools as needed
    • Passion for understanding the business and delivering actionable insights
