  • Responsibilities

    1. Lead the Financial Planning & Analysis and Management Reporting team supporting ALG Vacations business-to-business (B2B) organization.
    2. Responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and strategic analysis.
    3. Responsible of the management of the Vacations B2B finance function and responsible for achieving the organization goals and objectives.
    4. Perform variance analysis of monthly/quarterly/year-end financial statements, the measurement of key performance indicators and trend analysis.
    5. Responsible for P&L drivers and variance analysis.
    6. Responsible of monthly P&L forecast.
    7. Responsible for the budget process and output, ensuring coordination across all stakeholders.
    8. Responsible for tracking headcount and productivity trends.
    9. Responsible for the review of capital projects return-on-investment.
    10. Responsible for working capital analysis.
    11. Ad-hoc project financial modelling and sensitivity analysis.
    12. Provide input in the decision-making process for business strategy, commercial agreements and other ad-hoc projects.
    13. Ensure the application of company FP&A policies and procedures for all ALG companies.
    14. Monitors department work to develop efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
    15. Responds in a timely manner to inquiries from ALG management regarding management reports, special report requests and ad-hoc analysis.
    16. Participates in the development, management, and maintenance of the next generation reporting tools. 

     

    Additional Responsibilities:

    1. Lead Finance team responsible for working with other leaders of Vacations B2B business units and ALG to coordinate sourcing, aggregation and analysis of business unit data to provide strategic vision.
    2. Lead and develop finance team members to accomplish financial and business requirements, goals and objectives.
    3. Lead annual budget and planning process, monthly full year reforecasting process, and monthly reporting to business unit leadership, executive leadership and Board of Directors.
    4. Perform financial analysis for the measurement of key performance indicators of all related business. Create or enhance standard reports and/or KPI dashboards.
    5. Work with Business Intelligence team to ensure accurate porting of data throughout the company
    6. Produce weekly / monthly / ad hoc reports as requested by management
    7. To participate in representation of the Finance department in executive meetings as and when required.
    8. To participate in the preparation of a business intelligence platform and reporting requirements (Hyperion Planning, QlikView, SAP), as and when required.
    9. Ensure completeness and accuracy in the preparation and reporting of the annual budget.
    10. To develop and maintain financial policies and procedures.
    11. Be knowledgeable, supportive and champion of all accounting policies, processes and internal controls.
    12. Collaboration with Corporate Controller peer/s to analyze historical/actual financial performance.
    13. Work with Directors and Managers of the company to analyze key performance indicators, assist in the preparation of new projects according to the agreed business scope and parameters, and provide sound analysis in the impact on the business.

    Qualifications

    Education:

    Bachelor’s Degree required

    MBA, Masters in Finance, or other advanced business degree preferred

     

    Experience:

    Travel and leisure industry experience an asset (hotel mgmt, airline, resort mgmt, travel agency).

    A minimum of 3 years as Director of Finance in an international company or major US company.

    High proficiency in MS Office – Excel and PowerPoint required. Prior Hyperion experience highly beneficial.

     

    Language:

    • English
    • Bilingual Spanish a plus, not required.

    • Must be a self-starter who works well independently and as part of a team
    • Positive, proven Leader eager learn the business from finance team members / business partners.
    • Passionate about coaching and developing finance team members for their success.
    • Positive ability to partner with Business executive leadership. Quickly become the EVP, Vacations B2B Business unit Finance partner and “financial right arm”.
    • Strong written and verbal skills; professional manner to communicate with internal and external stakeholders
    • Should be well organized and detailed oriented
    • Able to handle multiple tasks and prioritizes work efficiently
    • Must be resourceful to investigate, problem solve, trouble shoot and work well under pressure to meet deadlines
    • Strong ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, dates, numbers and codes
