    Responsibilities

    • Act as Chief of Staff for Southwest Vacations who ensures unified strategy and execution across functional areas
    • Work with Managing Director to make key business decisions including pricing, supply, brand positioning, etc.
    • Own relationship with Southwest Airlines Revenue Management team by sharing key performance and trend data, uncovering opportunities, and adjusting Southwest Vacations brand strategy accordingly
    • Lead contact for Southwest Airlines on reporting, data, and insight needs of the airline
    • Oversee SWAV B2B strategy ensuring SWAV objectives and strategies are met
    • Responsible for business case development and analyses to support Southwest Vacations
    • Support planning and forecasting activities
    • Help Southwest Vacations make better, more informed decisions, especially on issues that span multiple functional areas. See the larger picture that functional analysts won't be able to see.
    • Manage cross-functional analysis that involve multiple shared functional areas
    • Evaluate potential business ideas raised by the Managing Director
    • Handle small projects on an ad-hoc basis and keeps Managing Director informed.
    • Act as an analytical champion for the brand that can ask questions about analyses in other areas and make sure the brand is getting the support it needs.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree from 4-year college or university. Master’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field of study is desired
    • 4-7 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and tact to manage across many business units and departments
    • Broad business knowledge with experience in many different disciplines
    • History of successfully driving strategy that leads to revenue and profitability growth
    • Analytical based approach and need to understand the why behind the result
    • Proven ability to lead, manage and hold others accountable across all departments and levels of the organization.  You ask questions and challenge people
    • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, project management, and P&L management
    • Sense of urgency and are results-oriented
    • Travel industry passion, knowledge or experience a plus
