  • Overview

    We are looking for a passionate, creative marketer to lead Consumer Marketing and eCommerce Strategy

    for both applevacations.com and funjet.com. Responsible for the overall management of both AV and FJ

    B2C businesses, the Director, B2C Strategy will lead a hybrid team accountable for driving sustainable and profitable consumer growth. You will bring creative energy, challenge established thinking, and discover new and innovative ways to grow our B2C and risk management channels.


    You will develop strategies and lead the team responsible for maximizing all digital marketing efforts, optimizing user site experience, attracting new customers, increasing loyalty among existing customers, enhancing return on marketing investments, and building-out customer relationship and engagement programs. Working closely with Brand Marketing, Revenue Management, Product Development and the broader organization, you will coordinate and drive the execution of your consumer marketing vision.


    • Develop, plan and manage our Digital Marketing strategy and multi-million-dollar budget – including, but not limited to SEM, retargeting, email, travel and metasearch partners
    • Use data to enable an effective product/pricing strategy designed to optimize digital marketing investments and execute merchandising strategy across owned and paid media
    • Continually test new digital media platforms and stay abreast of industry trends
    • Lead team(s) responsible for B2C Performance, ROI and Ah-Hoc Business Analysis
    • Manage eCommerce coop budget to maximize value for our partners and AV/FJ
    • Facilitate A/B testing and use data to deliver site enhancements/improve conversion
    • Ensure all enhancements, functionality and software platform integration is successfully executed
    • Lead Reconciliation of monthly media spends with coop team and accounting
    • Manage digital marketing calendar, including digital campaigns on AV.com and across all media outlets
    • Develop CRM/database strategy, including effective email program, growing and management of customer database, enhancing relevance via customer segmentation

    • Lead, mentor, and inspire a passionate, results-driven team that understands how to turn data into actionable, profitable results
    • Regularly communicate company-wide objectives to team members and ensure your team has a clear understanding of role they play in helping achieve goals
    • Provide tangible team member scorecards with clearly defined goals that tie to corporate objectives.
    • Provide timely, constructive guidance to foster team member growth, enhance performance, facilitate creativity, and continuously improve morale
    • Ensure team member compliance with applicable policies and procedures.


    You will ideally have the following characteristics:

    • You have experience leading large marketing initiatives involving multiple internal stakeholder groups
    • You are data-driven and have experience using marketing analytics to evaluate campaigns
    • You have strong empathy for customers

    • You have a sense of urgency and are results-oriented
    • You learn fast and can quickly act on emerging insights and trends

    • You are passionate about travel



    • 10+ years’ experience in high performance, customer-centric companies, with emphasis on digital marketing, merchandising, and user experience management
    • Demonstrated experience launching successful marketing campaigns at scale
    • Bachelor’s degree required, preference for marketing-related field
    • Excellent written and verbal presentation and communication skills; ability to easily communicate with all levels (executives, employees across multiple disciplines)
