Grow and learn with us as a Digital Engagement Manager for Apple Leisure Group, Inc.  This leader is someone who provides strategic ways to improve the customer lifecycle journey by employing tactical solutions across owned and paid channels including; Pay Per Click (PPC), Search Engine Optimization (SEO), email, social, display, and affiliate while driving performance, measuring impact, and providing insight. 

    In this role, you will lead the engagement (marketing) and business development efforts for Southwest Vacations (SWAV). You will be part of SWAV's leadership team with responsibility for managing advertising channel strategy, media engagement mix and advertising policies/style guides. You will serve as the primary creative contact between Southwest Airlines, SWAV and supplier partners.  It is important to both maximize cooperative advertising funding as well as grow Southwest Vacations’ overall business on an annual basis. 

    Responsibilities

    • Uses creative problem-solving techniques to address business issues with integrated marketing campaigns leveraging paid and owned channels. 
    • Identifies and nurtures key segments through loyalty programs, reengagement tactics, and web personalization via email, social, and website.
    • Maintains external agency vendor relationship and holds them accountable for resources, budget and priorities.
    • Nurtures, develops, and is accountable for SWA relationship relative to Engagement.
    • Researches emerging digital technology related to “marketing” automation to develop and drive adoption of digital channel strategy.
    • Understands, proves, and communicates customer journeys, frames of mind, delivers contextually relevant creative as a result and develops landing page strategies with Customer Experience Leader.
    • Owns and maintains sales initiative calendar and priority alignment grid.
    • Provides thorough analysis and insights on campaign outcomes and transform future experiences.
    • Works with Analytics team to create a foundation for reporting and KPI framework that can be shared across all teams.
    • Takes a data driven approach to campaign analysis and holds team accountable to learnings.
    • Regularly communicates integrated campaign performance to key stakeholders.
    • Develops a strategy to improve Southwest Vacations email subscriptions including on- and off-site solicitation.
    • Builds robust, actionable customer profiles in Microsoft Dynamics and apply data in future segmentation and targeting strategies.
    • Aligns creative, timing, and offers within each segment across multiple channels to maximize engagement, revenue, and customer retention.
    • Develops customer lifecycle management initiatives and lead the process to onboard, retain, build loyalty/advocacy and increase lifetime value.
    • Researches/explores emerging tactics, strategies and champions test opportunities.
    • Has a pulse on customer lifecycle engagement innovations with a comprehensive understanding of industry developments, consumer insights, and competitive analysis. 

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or Advertising, Master’s degree desired
    • At least 5 years related experience in a strategic leadership marketing role or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Portfolio of advertising and marketing executions
    • Strong problem solving, listening and creative thinking skills
    • Proven ability to work well on cross functional teams
    • Strong project management skills
    • Ability to identify markets, competition and target audiences in the development and execution of advertising initiatives
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to coach and develop others
    • Strong negotiation skills
    • Travel industry knowledge desirable, but not required
