    The Business Intelligence Developer provides direct end user support for our Qlik environment users. They will investigate, analyze and fix issues in all areas of the environment and will be responsible for gathering requirements, designing and implementing new BI solutions with Qlikview and Qlik Sense.

      • BI Application Development
      • Gathers and documents requirements for BI initiatives
      • Designs & Prototypes BI solutions
      • Develops and maintains BI solutions according to best practices.
      • Secures BI applications according to best practices
      • Accounts for the accuracy of the data presented to BI users through the execution of validation processes and testing procedures.
      • Troubleshoots and drives successful resolutions to development related issues
      • Conducts peer reviews of BI applications and ensures recommended changes are made
      • Creates and maintains documentation on BI applications and source extraction applications
      • Proactively tunes BI application and source extraction performance


    • ETL Development and Scheduling:
      • Designs, develops and tests ETL scripts
      • Assists with the planning of the ETL schedule.
      • Assists the BI Administrator with troubleshooting ETL failures  
      • Makes recommendations to correct ETL failures.
      • Executes development related changes to correct ETL failures


    • Application Deployment
      • Assists with the planning and continued refinement of the BI application deployment processes.
      • Assists with the troubleshooting and makes recommendations to correct deployment related issues


    • General:
      • Assists with the development of ad hoc queries and analyses
      • Mentors and supports internal and 3rd party BI development & design team members.
      • Updates job knowledge by researching new BI technologies tools and processes.
      • Participates in BI educational opportunities and reads professional publications.
      • Maintains personal networks and participates in professional BI organizations.

    Required Experience:

    • Gathering and documenting user requirements
    • Change and Release Management
    • 2 years of hands on experience in designing and developing Qlikview Solutions
    • Alteryx, Crystal Reports, Birst, Tableau, or Business Objects experience a plus
    • Hotel or Airline Industry experience a plus
